CaNoKo 2025 Is Coming To Berlin From November 21st To 23rd

CannabisNormal Konferenz 2024 CaNoKo

Many European countries are working to modernize their cannabis policies and industry regulations, with Germany serving as the most active jurisdiction. German lawmakers approved the CanG law over a year ago, and the nation’s approach to cannabis regulation continues to evolve on an ongoing basis.

It is against this backdrop that the Cannabis Normal! Conference (CaNoKo), hosted by the German Cannabis Association (DHV), is set to take place in Berlin from November 21st to 23rd, 2025. Cannabis industry members, advocates, and enthusiasts of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend the conference, which is the fifth edition.

“Even a year and a half after decriminalization came into effect, the future of cannabis in Germany remains uncertain. The federal government intends to significantly restrict low-threshold access to medicinal cannabis once again. The specialized dispensaries promised by the coalition government are still a long way off, and even the feasibility of scientific pilot projects is up in the air.” DHV stated in a press release provided to the International Cannabis Business Conference.

“Over three days, the German Cannabis Association (DHV) will bring together representatives from science, politics, and activism in twelve sessions to discuss the most pressing issues concerning the future of cannabis in Germany.” the press release also stated.

Some of the looming questions facing Germany’s cannabis community that will be examined at the event will include:

  • What is the future of medicinal cannabis and pilot projects?
  • What insights have been gained from the first year of operation of cannabis cultivation associations?
  • Where do the problems lie, and how can they be solved?
  • What specific demands do scientists, law enforcement, legal experts, and, above all, consumers and patients have in the current political process?
  • How can the German Cannabis Act (CanG) be fundamentally improved?

“For the first time, the DHV is cooperating with LEAP Germany e.V. at this year’s CaNoKo and is pleased to welcome high-ranking representatives of the German police unions and the New Judges Association as part of the session organized by LEAP.” DHV added.

“Therefore, CaNoKo25 should once again be very attractive for media representatives. This conference offers journalists a unique opportunity to make contacts with various key players in the field of cannabis in Germany.” DHV stated. “We welcome advance coverage as well as press accreditations via email to simon.kraushaar@hanfverband.de.”

About the German Cannabis Association (DHV):

The German Cannabis Association (DHV) represents the interests of cannabis consumers and legalization advocates. We strive for a legal, consumer-friendly market for cannabis as a recreational drug – from production to sales in adult-only stores. We want to end all forms of discrimination and fight for sensible regulations, including those concerning driver’s licenses, possession, consumption, home cultivation, growers’ associations, and medicine.

About LEAP Germany e.V.:

LEAP is an international movement of police officers and members of the criminal justice system, driven by passion and committed to advocate for drug policies and global penal law based on scientific evidence and policy assessment. LEAP Germany was founded in October 2014 on the initiative of the police officer and member of the Bundestag Frank Tempel. LEAP Germany works independently and is in exchange with other organizations.
