Thousands Of International Cannabis Buyers To Gather In Berlin

Europe’s emerging legal medical cannabis industry is thriving in more markets now than ever before, with Germany leading the way. Germany currently imports more medical cannabis from other countries than any other nation. The German market has experienced impressive growth year after year since legal medical cannabis sales began through the nation’s pharmacies in 2017.

In fact, in just the third quarter of 2025, Germany’s legal industry imported nearly 57 tonnes of medical cannabis from other countries. That is a significant increase compared to the third quarter of 2024, during which Germany imported over 20 tonnes of medical cannabis products, which was a record at the time. Other European countries are also importing a considerable amount of medical cannabis products, albeit not as much as Germany.

The surge in global interest in Germany and Europe’s legal markets makes Berlin the ideal location for the upcoming International Cannabis Business Conference, where thousands of international cannabis buyers are set to gather on April 13th-15th, 2026, at the iconic Estrel Berlin Hotel. In addition to licensed cannabis buyers, 90% of of the world’s largest licensed producers (LPs) and nearly all European and international wholesalers and distributors will be in attendance. The legal international cannabis industry has never witnessed a gathering of this magnitude and caliber.

“The medical cannabis industry is no longer a bunch of individual, siloed markets. These days, the market is more globally connected than ever before,” says Alex Rogers, the founder and CEO of the International Cannabis Business Conference. “Industry members from around the world want to connect and get deals flowing, and we are doing everything that we can at our conference in Berlin to help stimulate and facilitate the process.”

The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) is the top international cannabis B2B event of the year, having occurred annually in Berlin, Germany, since 2017. Representatives from over 80 countries will be at the conference, including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and industry service providers. It is the ideal place for companies that want to drive growth, debut new products and services, learn the latest industry information, and network.

Medical cannabis pharmacies are critical to safe access in Germany, which is why ICBC is once again offering free tickets to all German cannabis pharmacies. It is estimated that around 2,500 of Germany’s 17,000 pharmacies now offer medical cannabis. The conference will also host an exclusive Pharmacy Meet-Up to help sector members connect, as well as have a Medical Pharma Zone, where medical professionals from the global industry will gather.

Additionally, the International Cannabis Business Conference is also providing free tickets to all German-licensed cultivation associations. As of the start of this year, German authorities have approved 368 cultivation association applications, with hundreds more applications pending.

Home cultivation is becoming a hallmark of adult-use cannabis reform in Europe, with adults now permitted to cultivate personal amounts of cannabis for recreational purposes in Malta, Luxembourg, Germany, and the Czech Republic. A recent study conducted by Geisenheim University found that roughly 10% of German adults have cultivated cannabis at home. The rise of legal European home cultivation has, in turn, boosted the home cultivation sector. With that in mind, ICBC is offering free tickets to all grow shops in Europe, ensuring that the cultivation community is properly represented at the event.

To further facilitate representation of Europe’s burgeoning home and commercial cultivation sector, ICBC Berlin will feature a Grow Pavilion where global cultivation leaders can network. The event will also include a Network Atrium, a Treasure Hunt Game, and food and beverage lounges spread throughout the venue. ICBC Berlin will also bring back some of last year’s most popular features, including a VIP reception the night before the conference kicks off, a Speed Networking Area, and an outdoor consumption lounge.

Early bird ticket pricing is in effect until March 18th, 2026, at midnight. Grab your spot before the event sells out. You can find out more at: internationalcbc.com/berlin
