The professional medical and healthcare community is continuing to recognize the wellness benefits of medical cannabis at an increasing rate, especially in Germany and other European countries. To a large degree, the legal medical cannabis industry in Germany and Europe is based within a pharmaceutical framework, both from the perspective of the types of regulated products available to patients and how those products are legally dispersed.

A panel discussion at the recent International Cannabis Business Conference in Berlin discussed how to engage with stakeholders in constructive ways, the role that education plays for doctors and pharmacists, and what cannabis companies can learn from the non-cannabis pharmaceutical industry.

Experts examined how compliant and sustainable relationships can be fostered between companies, pharmacies, and healthcare providers. The panel was moderated by EUMCA General Secretary Sita Schubert. Panelists included:
