Germany Imported Over 201 Tonnes Of Medical Cannabis In 2025
Germany’s Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) published new medical cannabis import data this week for the last quarter of 2025, and updated its data for previous quarters from the calendar year.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Germany imported 56.625 tonnes of medical cannabis products according to BfArM’s data. In addition to the Q4 2025 data, it appears that BfArM has updated Q3 2025 totals from an initially reported 56.915 tonnes up to 59.076 tonnes. Data for Q1 2025 and Q2 2025 experienced slight adjustments. Below is a graph of current import totals from BfArM:

Just as previous quarters have been updated as time has gone on, it is entirely possible that Q4 2025 data for German medical cannabis imports could also be updated in the future. With that being said, based on the currently available data from BfArM, Germany imported over 201 tonnes of medical cannabis products in 2025, up from 72.85 tonnes in 2024.
