Medical cannabis production and commerce are legal in more jurisdictions now than at any other time since the dawn of cannabis prohibition, which is great for both patients and companies that provide medical cannabis products and services. Furthermore, an increasing number of countries permit medical cannabis imports and exports, which, in turn, increases industry opportunities.

A panel of representatives from leading international companies recently held a discussion at the International Cannabis Business Conference in Berlin, focusing on the globalization of medical cannabis and the impacts, benefits, and pitfalls entrepreneurs and investors should consider.

Speakers also provided overviews of the top international markets from the perspective of medical cannabis imports and exports. The panel was moderated by leading international consultant Jamie Pearson of New Holland Group. She was joined on the panel by:
