ICBC Berlin 2025 | Full-circle moments in a maturing industry
This year’s convention felt different — more grounded, more strategic, and finally aligned with where this industry needs to go.
Even more meaningful for me was reconnecting with three key figures who helped shape my path:
Tony Levi — the one who brought me into cannabis. Our first venture, Plena Global Holdings, launched my career in this space. His instinct for opportunity and fearless approach to execution taught me what leadership looks like in emerging markets.
Stefan Martin Meyer — my go-to source for anything related to the science of the plant. He introduced me to the technical side of cannabis when most were still stuck on buzzwords. What I know today about genetics, formulation, and evidence-based production, I learned thanks to him.
Mike Dacks — whose sharp legal and strategic lens has always helped me make sense of the international landscape. Mike doesn’t just read regulation — he anticipates it, and he’s helped me stay several moves ahead in complex markets.
These men were mentors. Now they’re peers.
We’ve all taken different paths, but we share a clear commitment:

I had the privilege of attending the amazing ICBC2025 medical cannabis conference in Berlin, Germany. The energy was electric, and the discussions were groundbreaking. I was honored to moderate a panel on “Opportunities in New Global Cannabis Markets,” where we explored the exciting future of this industry.
The conference was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues from the industry, share insights, and forge new connections. The passion and innovation in the room were truly inspiring, especially as we anticipate the “third wave” of cannabis growth in Europe. 🌿💡

🌿 ICBC Berlin 2025: the global cannabis industry’s key meeting point
Friends and colleagues, earlier this week, I returned from ICBC Berlin 2025, including Dmytro Bova and Ivan Kapustin, part of the AmA Invest team, and it was truly unforgettable. This event has every chance to become one of the most significant moments of the year in the global cannabis space, bringing together industry leaders worldwide under one roof.
From the very first moment I stepped into the conference hall, it was clear: ICBC is where the cannabis world meets bold ideas, global strategy, and new opportunities. You could feel it in the atmosphere. Kudos to the organizers, Alex Rogers — the professionalism, energy, and flawless execution were deeply impressive and truly inspiring.
Together with the AmA Invest team, we had the opportunity to connect with incredible leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs from across Europe and Canada. Our conversations about market trends, the regulatory landscape, investment strategies, and partnerships were not only insightful, they were truly motivating.
